Can Emotional Freedom Techniques Lower Your Handicap?

In the mid 1990’s Stanford-trained engineer Gary Craig turned the psychology world on its head with the introduction of Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT.

EFT is a meridian-based therapy, similar to accupuncture or accupressure. You simply “tap” on a few “clearing points” on the face and body, while focusing on the negative emotion, in order to “clear” it. Sure, it sounds a bit unusual, but so are the results!

The Zone. Finding and entering it is an often elusive goal of athletes in all sports, not to mention musicians, artists, actors and others. It’s the ideal state in which everything comes together. Your mind and body are in sync, your awareness of the environment you’re in is heightened, you flow through and with your surroundings effortlessly. Everything works perfectly without requiring you to “work” at all.

All golfers have had this zone state experience, whether for a moment or two, for a round or throughout an entire golf game.
